To say Uzuki had a bit of a rough last few days was an understatement. She was recovering from a nasty incident with Einst where she learned a few good lessons the hard way. She had mostly recovered but was still a bit tired, though she couldn't tell if that was physical or mental. She woke up a few hours ago and had to get out of her room and needed some fresh air down on the surface of Tzion. She went back to where it happened...where Einst showed her she had much more to learn. She stood on the edge of the desert, looking out over the vastness of it's expanse...and to where her battle took place. It looked like a few natural disasters went awry with large sections of the ground trenched out leaving multiple scars across the land. She sits there in quiet contemplation probably one of the few times she has ever been so quiet. No voice in her head...no future version appearing before her to mock her or scold her, just the silence. It was all rather peaceful until... She lets off a smile, just a half one as she moves her hands up through her hair that had previously been flapping in the wind. Placing a small tie she gets her hair in a ponytail and fully stands up but doesn't turn around. Her long jacket takes over the dramatic flapping in the wind that her hair used to occupy.
"So...I'm disappointed in you all. Thought I would have run into you sooner than this." She says blindly to the five standing twenty yards behind her. What was the team briefly known as Alpha, her former unit, was tasked with bringing their former leader in one way or another. Grant Fatima a large man with a larger shield was in the middle of them all wearing a deceptively tech filled old knight armor. To his left was Vaness Van Houten in her long black robes and twirling arcane rubics cube swirling a few inches above her hand and Madelyne Saint Crox to her side in her very skin tight leather hooded ensemble with her techno-handbow cocked back. To the right of the big guy stood his other two companions. Esper, a blue skinned hairless blood-priest of the group with the power to transfer health to and from allies. Finally next to her Lairia Banderas stands with fists in her ready combat position, her green skin covered by her black hooded jacket that only lets a portion of her vivid orange hair slip out. "Guess leaving Grant alone with four other girls slowed down the tracking eh?" She taunts the big man in the middle. He raises his shield and snarls. "Cut the shit Flamerose, you are coming back one way or another. You can't beat all of us at once." She just nods, "Sure sure...That may have been true before. But I think you just...challenged me? And you know I love a good challenge goldie locks." "Ready yourselves shes going to...." Before grant even gets the full sentence out the long range sniper of the group Madelyn Saint Crox sends out her bolts of electric pulses towards Uzuki, where they miss entirely. The young firebrand is already upon them sword drawn into a slash of intense flames. It was all Grant Fatima could do to get his shield shoved out in time to collide with the swords strike and erecting a magical like wall to shield them all from the intense heat. The flames erupting from her blade and bellowing out over the blue hue of it.
In that moment grants one baby blue eye locked with the green of Uzukis. The smile on her face told him...this was going to be a long day.....

[ I. i am > i was ]
Kaneda grimaced in anger as the world of flame and metal bent itself through his flesh. Hardly able to concentrate while the pain tore through him, he lapsed in and out of consciousness, ripped apart and simultaneously rejoined anew. The sheer density of ether made it impossible living things to exist there, yet across the desolate wasteland of rolling flames and obsidian trudged a man with a will unlike most. An empty chalice with only a desire of survival and virtue. The hazy conflagrations of essence burned itself through and into him. Across thousands of miles for an untold time he trudged onward, immortal and willful, searching for something.
This wasteland was the The Abyss, the world of demons and sin, and one of the many planes of chaos. Many who came to die never left, some referred to it as hell, the inferno, or many other associations with material legend: but most had the idea of the endless dark realm misunderstood. Outside of the tower of segmented landmasses floating mystically above on another, planetary sized continents containing only the most vile, there existed absolutely nothingness. Anything caught within the absolute black was devoured, eroded by the astral leylines between individual planes where nothing could exist.
The immortal swordsman could feel the distortion of space where the metaphysical gateway between this layer and the next could be found. The exotic ether found in The Abyss had begun to warp his flesh, giving him the composition of a pasty demon under constant metamorphosis. Obsidian wings of metal ripped through the flesh atop his shoulder blades, forcing skin, muscle, and blood onto the fiery plain beneath him. With only a single arm on his right side, the nails became like ferocious claws of a feral beast, elongated and strong enough to tear through the material. This accompanied by the single red eye that glimmered ominously upon his forehead, only slightly obscured by his cascading ivory locks.
With a bloody grasp his hand reached out to the vortex of distortion within the center of the continent, pulling simultaneously at the very reality that surrounded him. Before he could comprehend what had occurred, like all times before, he was already displaced— and in the most convenient location no less.
For what felt to Kaneda like hundreds of years he had lived in this world where he felt he truly belonged. He had repeatedly slain The Great Mother, bargained with Graz’zt, and slain the Demon Queen of the Abyss, Lolth. Each had given Kaneda new perspective on his rage and disdain of Faustus his presumable nemesis since the death of Relius which felt like a lifetime ago. The woman he loved was gone and sentenced to eternal suffering, his daughter was dead, and the malevolence that had beckoned him since before he had even been born had come to the forefront. The only thing the wild-eyed demon lived for anymore was vengeance.
“It’s you…” the darkness spoke to him. When he emerged from the distortion he could faintly make out a cavern, colossal, with ruins of a giant civilization that once lived there. “Graz’zt said you would come. To think you’d actually be human…”
The layer of The Abyss itself seemed to speak to him.
“Then you know why I’m here,” Kaneda spoke softly, almost in a whisper. His voice was raspy, with little a voice left.
“Are you sure?”
“Do it or I will kill you,” Kaneda smiled wickedly, the curl of his lips and the widening of his eyes twisting what was a beautiful face of blood into one of deranged horror. Revenge. There was nothing he wanted, or needed more. Until he had it, he could never rest.
[ II. Yakusa no Ikazuchi no Kami ]
For a time The Yggdrasil Pirates’ greatest musician had disappeared. To some it wouldn’t register that he vanished in the great battle against Malphisto, a material being that superseded anything the Kaneda has ever faced. Crim was optimistic, believing that the white-haired swordsman would return someday, but others like Uzuki weren’t so sure. It wasn’t terribly uncommon for him to disappear at any given time for matters of relative importance, and perhaps it was for the better that he not remain when the pirates departed and the U-TIC came back to claim what was there’s.
The hairs on the back of his neck stood tall and sudden.
“I must be late…” Kaneda whispered to himself, “I underestimated how large Tizon is…and here I thought my time in hell was enough…”
A flash of chaotic white arcs consumed him, connecting itself to the heavens in what could be called a literal instant. The boom of thunder resounded through the desert, white superheated ether and air creating a slipstream that Kaneda effortlessly navigated. The Raikazuchi blessed him with preternatural manipulation of the two gods abilities by way of a then forlorn synergy. In the very next second?
Laira Banderas dared to snap her head backward. When she did, there was nothing.
“You’re joking.” Kaneda sighed, standing a few inches from her right. His voice caught the entire band off guard, an unexpected turn in their capture of Uzuki.
“W-wha—!” Laira yelled, turning back as fast as she could to defend herself. Unfortunately it was too late. Muddy brown bandaged left arm covered in onmyöji seals held the scabbard in place while the white haired swordman’s right hand commanded the power of thunder and lightning. A single stroke? No, twelve, and to the naked eye he didn’t move after grasping the black corded, golden handle. The ether-infused lightning strikes collided with a enormous shield, but the resounding N-Wave invoked by his sheer movement tore at everyone in the immediate vicinity. Kaneda smiled in elation, impressed that the armored knight’s shield had managed to mitigate his attack.
It was just a warm up, but it was impressive.
“So you aren’t all talk…” he yelled, his body becoming a series of ephemeral afterimages that overlapped one another before dissipating.
Above the armored knight they’d all finally see him, but by then it was too late. Just as he became visible he released his first newfound technique in his time away.
“Ikazuchi Kata: Shōmei-shin no katachi!”
Thousands of ethereal blades made of lightning and mythic metal descended from above, guided by Kaneda’s right hand, raining on the knight and Laira Banderas with little remorse. The ancient technology that protected the knight acted to repair itself, the shield unable to protect it and Laira altogether. Laira on the other hand suffered deep cuts through flesh, slicing through her back, shoulders, and even a cut across her face.
When the final slash landed against the shield, Kaneda could be seen fifteen meters away from the troupe of five and Uzuki, the blood of Raikazuchi dripping onto the dry desert beneath his bare feet.
The Omniblade smiled at Uzuki.
“I don’t think you need me for this one Uzuki, I overestimated this squad. Wrap it up already!” He barked. She likely wasn’t familiar with him much, but he was familiar with her. And so was it.

Like a flash the white haired swordsman unleashed a flurry of attacks on the group. Grant had to quickly shift to protect his party from the original assault, showing his shield could withstand the blows...that was until the new technique was unleashed and Grant had to focus on withstanding the damage, the other group had already spread out and back but Liara unfortunately was to close and was cut and thrown from the original impact. Her body flung off its feet and sent like a rag-doll backwards across the land, her natural instincts finally would kick in before she hit the ground and much like a cat her body would flip around and let her land on her knees. Stunned the girl was trying to shake it off as a sudden surge of red mist was being channeled into her. Her cuts and damage being healed as Esper began to funnel her own blood into the groups wounded fisticuff flinger.
Uzuki taken back by the sudden appearance as well quickly used her own strike before on Grant's shield to propel her backwards away from the unleashed fury of this newcomers attacks. She just shakes her head and laughs.
"Another dude with white hair? Guess it's true still never met a guy with white hair that wasn't a complete dick. Just who the fuck are you anyway?" She questions back at the guy who just landed behind her. Still the distraction was being met with the group as a chance to set up.
Vaness Van Houten quickly after blinking backwards out of danger lifted up her spinning arcane box and began to open up it's ether gates summoning up something... Madylen diving off to the side quickly began to fire off her shots at the stalled out Uzuki speaking back towards the new arrival.
Quickly having to take off to get out of the way from the magi-bolts Uzuki dives and rolls up sheathing her sword as she does so expertly.
"You kind of ruined my plan there....Oh yeah! I remember you now, Kaneda!...Kaneda...yeah I skipped your file didn't seem important!" The tone of her voice with the last half of her comment he would be able to tell that she was trying to get under his skin.
"Still playing around Alexandria?" Grant speaks out as his shield begins to glow and assumes a defensive stance.
"Oh My god Grant, stop trying to play leader. You are not FRED and you do not get Daphne, I don't care how blonde you are. You are missing the ascot!" She says as she gets low to the ground with her right hand starting to glow. The aetherized air above Vaness quickly condenses into a large unicorn like creature that sparks into the battlefield surrounded by lighting all around him. Vaness must have chosen to summon the lighnting-corn to try to counter the lightning charged attacks she seen from Kaneda. Jumping down onto the ground next to Vaness, the girl leaps up and lands on its back with her arcane box still churning around now even more vigorously. The large horn on the summons head begins to charge up as does Vaness's box.
Liara begins to snap out of the attack she suffered and snarls looking at Kaneda. Her eyes start to glow red as her clawed hands move into fists and she erupts forward to attack at the man, her fists start to take the shape of boulders as she launches herself into the air to strike at him. Esper then takes the break in the action to start to weave a mist of blood in front of her, concocting something. All of this going on, madylen is constantly firing off shots at the two of them from a distance. The group....is now set up and Uzuki knows it. Dodging the attacks from their ranged sniper and ignoring Liara as she is heading right towards Kaneda, she knows she has to get past Grant to stop Vaness...whos power will just keep snowballing if kept unchecked.
"Don't die from a girls attacks mmmkay?" She calls back to Kaneda as she rushes forward again, seeing the wall that is Grant she knows even if she goes around him he can just appear next to his teammates. She has to deal with him...and deal with him in a way they have never seen before.

[ III. The Omniblade ]The white-haired swordsman scrutinized the troupe and their laughable target with casual indifference. Both were unimpressive, and it didn’t take long to distinguish their strengths and weaknesses from their actions and reactions in the brief time since his arrival. This was child’s play. The sheer lack of skill in those who carelessly wielded great power was disappointing— somehow Kaneda expected a real challenge in his return to the material, let alone in a place of mystery where he had come across one of his own...or something like that. The lines between who was a Yggdrasil Pirate, who was truly worth their measure of value, and who didn’t deserve to die was becoming blurred by the day. With a great sigh the straight-haired vagabond folded his arms along his chest and stared as the squad recalculated their strategies and focused on the apparent, more frightening threat: the wild-eyed demon sword himself. Uzuki spout line after line of nonsense that Kaneda apathetically dismissed. It wasn’t that she wasn’t funny, atleast to laugh at, but the prospect of revealing a fraction of his power to the world in his first testament of battle crept down his spine; an unrelenting bloodlust that would not be denied. Suddenly a colossal unicorn of lightning was born, and the arcs of superheated electricity discharged into the sands of the desert and the world about Vaness. Nothing that Kaneda couldn’t deal with, but an interesting reaction to a man who showed an almost uncanny affinity to the element itself. Battle Theme: CounterattackLiara took this time to focus her power into her fists and leap at Kaneda, who stood about ten meters away. She reached him in the blink of an eye, descending on him with reckless fury. His arms slowly unfolded themselves and in the next instant, the two met in a collision of will and skill. The world around them crept to a literal halt behind the sheer velocity and precision of their attacks that created pressurized shockwaves frozen as was reality. Laira sought to push herself to her limits to enact her revenge, and Kaneda drew the Kikuichimonji to test the sharpness of his own swordsmanship. Then when her fist poised to strike his face directly center to his nose, the fist passed through the ethereal afterimage. The shockwaves suddenly exploded from the point between where the two had been battling, and six deep cuts tore through her flesh, the shockwaves only exacerbating the damage. While she was sent flying through the sky in ragged tatters and blood, Kaneda could be seen walking forward a few meters ahead, the Kikuichimonji drawn. For every shot fired in his direction, it was redirected by effortless control of his Uwa Chikara (Outer Strength: Ether), Kaneda subscribed to letting Uzuki deal with Grant, perhaps the most troublesome for his impenetrable defense— and instead focuses on singling each of the members our one by one. Each of the bolts of ether fired assimilated into his boundary of galvanized ether, growing rapidly by the second. The wild-eyed swordsman wouldn’t have to borrow from his own private reserves or that of Massacre, instead he’d manipulate the ether around him to heighten his own parameters and the feats capable of being performed. “I’m going to kill Vaness.” Kaneda announced to everyone aloud, grabbing everyone’s attention, including hers. “Deal with Grant so we can finish this.” Unsheating the Kikuichimonji once more, he absorbed the ether bolts slamming into his sphere of translucent ether while approaching Vaness. While most of Kaneda’s true Sakki (Killer Intent) was sealed within Massacre, what little he possessed by way of his malevolent power peeled away at Vaness and her hopes of living. The desperation made the growing unicorn of growing electricity stronger, and the gyrating box of Vaness accelerated. “That’s the spirit…” Kaneda snarled devilishly. Suddenly ribbons of translucent ether began to form around Kaneda’s position, practically imperceptible, but dangerously powerful. The thin lines of razor-sharp ether suddenly took on life and danced through the currents of wind, jolting forward at Vaness with the veracity of highly-adaptable blades of malleable chi seeking to rip through her and the ether surrounding her like butter. In the same breath Kaneda’s ether within himself appeared to destabilize and altogether vanish, and his snarl only increased. What did this mean?

Liara was hurt to say the least...she tangled with an unknown and paid for it. Her cut and tattered body flung through the air landing in another thud. This was twice she landed in a heap, Esper however was off to the side and couldn't get to her right away. The healer of the group decided to focus on Grant at the time as he was looking to be on the receiving end of a big attack, however the big attack never came from Uzuki who had to change up her plan.
She learned from her encounter with Einst that just rushing head long into the fray and trying to let her natural abilities keep up would only get so far. She noticed the spinning box of vaness....and knew of the attack that usually came after it. Of all the Alpha team, Vaness was the closest to her. The others were adjusting their attacks, esper was the only one way out of position...besides Liara. Still she needed to be able to brace for the big booms...
Grant was watching Uzuki rush towards him when he gets distracted by the attack on Vaness. The razor thin blades of chi moving in to slice her up twinged at his wanting to use his ability to quickly dash to her and take the hit himself. Unfortunately Zook was right on top of him already and the distraction was enough for her to twist to the side of his shield and use the handle to her sword to quickly jab up under his armpit where the armor is softer and more exposed making his arm go somewhat limp. Quickly she grabs his arm and shoves the shields bottom tip into the ground and hunkers behind it at leaving Grants face exposed.
The Unicorn Vaness rides raises up to put itself in the way of the blades as much as it can when the spinning arcane box of hers takes off and into the sky above. Once in the air massive bolts of pure arcane magic begin to shoot from it, the avesta inside of it gives it enough power to unleash a steady stream of arcing missiles towards Kaneda. The box starts with just a few coming from each side but then suddenly spins violently and all at once from each side of the box a cluster of twelve massive rockets erupt out homing in on Kanedas signature. The first few that fling through the air and finally collide with where he was(or is) will find that the explosion would be a massive burst of power taking out the entire ground in a ten square yard area. The ninety-six all shot out at once are now homing in on him and the clusters together would amplify their detonation. This is why Uzuki wanted to jump behind the shield of Grants.
Madelyne was studying Kaneda and for some reason way getting a vibe of something demonic about it. This got her hunter instincts tingly as she switched up her weapons load out to something else...more effective in trying to deal with him. Meanwhile....Liara was beginning to wake up, in her eyes all she could see was red. Her body was hurting, but her anger was overriding it, the Avesta was kicking in supplying a stream of ether into her as her berserk rage was going off. It was at that moment....she lost control. Her fists began burning bright with power as she would raise up and slam both fists onto the ground sending out a small earthquake like shockwave across the ground. Uzuki would still be holding onto the shield bracing herself against the massive explosion of arcane.
Liara's fists would be burning bright as she shoved them into the ground. The ground was heating up quickly as it began to melt some, her hands would rip up a large chunk of the ground and would toss the eight foot by six foot molten chunk with its flat surface hiding her as she had leapt right behind it, catching up to it she almost rides it towards him, her fist cocked back and waiting to punch a hole in the middle sending burning molten lava all over him if she could.

[ IV. Emerging from Chaos ]
The legend of the wild-eyed demon and his dogmatic will was one less known than his predecessors or others he accompanied among The Yggdrasil Pirates. Many faux swordsman had come forth duping both the mercenaries and assassins who weren’t close enough to the belligerent sword for hire to recognize that they were imposters. This was not hyperbole. Dozens of worshippers were drawn to the misunderstood assassin’s plot— but none of them could compare to the legend himself. His rage and suffering had become tangible, the raw power of emotion he possessed unrivaled. Every sacrifice he’s made has led him to the moment where battles became trivial and only the most powerful could force him to his true potential.
The lucid world around him broken down into almost still images gave him a glimpse into the control of himself that he had never experienced before. Still particles of lightning appeared as sand-sized shard particles connected by their own luminosity, and the ether as motes of color varying by where and who was responsible. From the moment his ether destabilized Kaneda was already “gone” in most senses of the word, all that remained where he stood was the manifestation of ether enough so to create a physical projection that served as a more perfect afterimage than what most would ordinarily produce. Anachronism would possess them all who dared to think otherwise of where he seemed to prepare for the worst—but then where was the maverick?
Ninety-six missiles of arcane collided into him, ripping his clothes and body into pieces on impact. There was no reaction from him, and the sheer generation of energy was enough to shatter charred bone and filet flesh from bone: but neither happened. Instead the pain of her offensive action traveled from the afterimage and into Kaneda, who was no stranger to his own nerve impulses and mortality. Many would see this as a fatal drawback to an otherwise almost perfected movement technique, but the wild-eyed swordsman had a trick up his sleeve. The Rune of Condemnation flashed across his neck, a phosphorous violet and crimson shimmering in blinking wavelengths across the battlefield. Not only had the transference of pain awakened the retribution that was the galvanized rune of balance, but it already possessed the means to counterbalance the pain and damage inflicted by her power to begin with.
Which set into motion the phase of the battle that would be his most offensive yet. Of them all, only Liara had the perceptual abilities to locate Kaneda when his afterimage was left, and she actually found him in an unlikely location.
“Vaness you idiot come back down!” Liara yelled.
The sky suddenly bled red, the circle of madness spreading across as far as their eyes could see. Just above Vaness, Kaneda could be seen descending from beyond the clouds, clenching his right hand. When she took to the skies, Liara’s frightening yell came too late. The feeling of having her body vaporized by incandescent arcane much as she had forced upon Kaneda’s afterimage suddenly burned her from within. This however was multiplied, the damage that Kaneda would have received was multiplied by four, while Kaneda himself only experienced the pain and the inability to access his right arm temporarily thereafter. The white and black waves of judgement tore her apart from within, being meticulously destroyed by the Rune’s third most powerful ability in the blink of an eye. When all that remained of her was sundered flesh, white flames would dance upon her corpse, the sign that Condemnation had brought her to an impossible to debate death.
“It’s time to end this…” something whispered to him.
Kaneda’s left arm, still covered in sealing scripts from the world beyond, flickered over to Raijinto and drew the golden hilt from its scabbard once more. “I don’t need you.”
“This can be over right now if you stop being stubborn.”
Kaneda ignored his words even as the as the demonic ether, or nether, began to leak from the seals he had carefully placed. This distorted the world around him on a material, astral, and spiritual level, and it showed. Miniature horns began to protrude from his forehead, three in total, and his muscle mass seemed to grow to any with keen perceptual abilities capable of recognizing such. A missile covered in lightning he aerial dove directly towards Liara, and in the next moment a battle of mutual power happened. Liara’s molten fist punched through earth and air alike seeking to strike Kaneda’s whose moves had become more unorthodox and less conventional. In-between avoiding her series of attacks he responded with his own, usually to mitigate her throwing chunks of land at him, effortlessly vaporizing these miniature islands with deft sweeps of his blade, and to bait her into what he had already ascertained was her fatal flaw. Battling was instinct, but instinct sometimes betrayed survival.
Sliding back several meters Kaneda smirked, resheathing Raijinto.
Liara was stronger than he expected, they all were, but fighting was more than strength. Vestusio has taught him that valuable lesson. Power was more than strength. While the nether leaked into his immediate area toxically, an explosion of conventional ether from his stalwart soul suddenly washed over the battlefield. The sheer pressure alone caused the once lucid world to tremble minutely. Giving Liara a taste of what he truly was, it seemed time to bring their battle to a close. Liara’s weapon’s and system seemed to grow stronger in retort, feeding off of Kaneda’s sudden expulsion with a colossal release of her own. Leylines scorched by her raging energy shook the foundation of the desert.
Beneath her the sands had melted into glass seemingly to usher the rage that she felt. Was it vengeance? Seeing her comrade die before her eyes? Had she any idea of the evil she faced?
“You sure you don’t want me to—“
“Watch closely Dagda. I’ll show you true power,” Kaneda announced to his demonic left hand, which grasped the handle of Raijinto tightly. His legs bent themselves at angles in preparation for movement, and he remained aware of Madelyne who was shot a glare from Liara as if to stay back. Now that she had involved her pride…
She sprang forward and swept her left hand, which shot a large chunk of earth at Kaneda on approach, completing the action she intended to follow through with earlier— but the landmass was larger and the power output much higher.
This, however, wouldn’t matter.
No amount of power could make up for the lapse of skill between the two. When she sought to punch through the earth she’d find the landmass already cleaved in two, in the blink of an eye, and parting island of rock was Kaneda who stepped through it, the sheer ether alone burning away at it. While she was protected under her own blanket of ether, she wasn’t protected from his blade that suddenly flashed heavenward in a powerful vertical stroke upward. Her gauntlets slammed into one another and defended just in time, but that’s when the culmination of his plan occurred. The technique he’d then suddenly used was something he had learned on Vestusio during his encounter with Akuma, just before the battle against Malphisto.
“Infinity Demon Edge: Alpha,” he whispered.
The world flashed black. To any who sought to view his subsequent actions the raw output of ether distorted them enough so that not even Uzuki had the perceptual ability to comprehend what happened. Liara would understand though. Sixteen thousand three-hundred and eighty four stabs performed in a split second, he released the Specter Edge, Maddening Edge, and Dilapidation Edge at once. What would remain of Liara would be particles finer than dust, leaving all but the relic she brought in tow. While the sheer volume and technique used surprised Liara enough to shatter her rage temporarily, the last image she’d see was that of an insurmountable demon evolved from myth. Was it Kaneda? She knew the answer but she wouldn’t live to speak it. In the next instant after their collision, she dissolved into dust finer then the sand beneath them.

It was all over but the crying.
Uzuki knew what had happened. Hidden behind the shield of Grant the blast went around her but sent the still standing Grant back a few dozen yards away from her. Turning her head she watched as Kaneda sent back more than four times the power Vaness sent out right back on top of her head. Liara was enraged and not thinking, the ground though shaking before her power being unleashed wasn't going to hold up to the clear calculation and immense speed of the sword strikes against her. Her old team was outmatched, something she understood when she snuck ahead of them and scoped out vestusio by herself.
They had all read the files on the Crew, trained, and prepared to take them on. It was a different thing to actually see them in action, the sheer scope of what was going on around them. Uzuki knew when she seen it and her deep desire to push herself and always be better led her to leaving UTIC and her team behind to join up and be on that scale...that scope. Her team however didn't witness these things and had hoped to bring in Uzuki. They didn't account for another to show up, one that wouldn't have taken it easy on them for old times sake. This one had no history with them and seen an enemy to be taken out. They were fools and now Vaness and Liara were gone.
______________
A blue glowing eye opens as if awakening from a vision, it begins to twinge green. "I see, you found another acceptable host? What do you mean a joke?" The voice in the darkness of a man questioning to a god that he can't even comprehend.
______________
The spinning arcane cube of Vaness moves faster and faster until it rapidly rips itself apart and flings its bits everywhere. Left in its place is a strange plasma-like green glow as if ripples on waves had merged with pure frequencies. It was at that moment the rune on Uzuki's hand began to glow the same color.
"You gotta be fucking kidding me?" She says with a head shake. Her body begins to be enveloped by the same Green glow. Grabbing the shield from the ground she throws it towards Grant who attempts to catch it but sends him flying another twenty feet away. "I suggest the rest of you run while you have the option. It's about to get complicated." She says with a serious tone and a snarl from her lip.
The wave of green in the air suddenly makes a straight line dash towards Kaneda faster than the swordsman can even react. The green hits into him directly, pulsing over him, pushing the sheer infinite feeling of pure power over his body just for a split moment before gathering itself back up into a point and sliding down into one of the weapons on his person. The Kikuichimonji, a seemingly normal sword of impeccable construction suddenly erupts into life....Literally. The Weapon bursts out of its sheath destroying it and letting the Divine white smokey vapor of pure soul essence emerge out of it.
"....Eater of Souls , I find you fascinating. My breath that can create souls is now yours to command...along with my power. I want nothing more in return than to watch you and that any other so called gods come your way...give them a little hell."
The voice was heard only by Kaneda himself as his new "gift" floated there beside him. The last three stood there watching the spectacle as Liara's dust settled over a strange looking small green crystal core.
Uzuki was mad, her eyes started to burn with fire as she watched Kaneda. Her hand calmed it's glow on her rune as the sun portion of the eclipse began to erupt into a sunfury. Her movements were swift as she rushed towards him drawing her blade to slash out at him with an enormous sunflare from the blade crossing the battlefield and instantly turning the sands to glass as it was about to strike him.....
Nothing...
Frozen...
Stillness...
Kaneda could only see the sparkling particles of uzuki's solar flare in front of him. Uzuki was just as much a statue watching the scene as well. The three Alpha members were caught trying to run away at this point but caught in whatever stasis had befallen the field. It would have felt like an eternity to them but then finally an answer to what had happened.
Elyk...floating down onto the ground. His Aura stretching the battlefield, altering the physics itself of the space they inhabited. Somehow Uzuki's face snarled at his sight, her body fighting the lock placed upon them. She had awakened some of her powers with the avesta and was seemingly starting to fight against him. Kaneda having just received one would likely need more time to unlock it's mysteries and gifts bestowed to him.
"Now...lets get this out of here." He says as he manipulates the laws of their space once more to make the solar flare fizzle out of existence. It seems the Avesta has found another worthy to be a bearer. You might have to ignore the girl she is a bit headstrong and it seems you stole her glory. My name is Elyk and I to hold an Avesta. I trust if I let you two go I wont find you at each others throats?" He looks at both of them and shrinks his aura down to just a few feet around him letting the both of them and the three Alpha's out of his lock.
Without warning though he appears before them suddenly and now harnessing a large two handed great sword. "Surrender now and give up your weapons. All of you are unworthy to wield them. You seen how I did that? I can make this entire area around me right now suddenly not have electro magnetism be a working property and your atoms will simply fall apart. So what will it be?" Grant looks at the two girl and then takes his shield and puts it into the sand and nods at the other two who put theirs on the ground.
Uzuki slowly walks towards Kaneda and kneels to the ash pile next to him. "Ah..Liara. Always knew you would go out in a blaze of glory." She shifts through it and pulls out the seemingly normal green crystal about the size of a finger. "I'm sure we will want to have a good look at you." She then glares back up at Kaneda. "And you...Next time you steal my thunder, I will make sure you damn well repay me more with a whole bottle of top shelf liquor that you're gonna get me tonight."

[ V. Homecoming ]It’s one thing to see a demon, it’s another to be one. When lives collapsed beneath his predatory instincts his eyes would never reflect remorse. This was as close to reality as any of them had gotten in some time, but Kaneda lived here. For better and worse. His hollow eyes were suddenly filled with the malicious poison of nether that his arm had began exposing— and in the wake of his latest victims he released a guttural roar. Palpable shockwaves exploded across the desert, crashing into the unprepared like vicious tidal waves. “GHYAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH !!” Suddenly a blinding light struck him, and his body felt at ease. The luminous energies passed through him, suppressing his murderous rage, and transitioning into one of his weapons along his side. The clarity of mind granted in those waking moments gave him just enough time to regain his bearings and realize what had and was happening. But not enough time to react to Uzuki. Even as the divine weapon burst from its scabbard and blessed the world with its appearance as white as snow— his comrade, crazy bitch, “insert feminist pun here” on the other hand was upset. Was it how he mercilessly slayer their opposition rather than waiting on her to finish playing with her food? Or was it that he did so without touching a fraction of what he was capable of? How much of it was jealousy, and how much of it was something deeper. The white haired assassin didn’t have time to think about that. When Uzuki prepared to strike, a restless deity within his left arm watched in curiosity. Was Kaneda willing to experience the pain of death again, solely to prove a point? Then...nothing. The world, everything, atoms of all kinds were restricted by some invisible hand with unrivaled power. The incandescent explosion Uzuki released fizzled out, and Elyk of The Yggdrasil Pirates seemed to have total sovereignty over the world of his aura. Or atleast around about. Kaneda’s left arm created spatial distortions that warped the material around Kaneda and it; almost nullifying it in only the space immediately surrounding him where the deity existed. That all changed when the aura was released and they were all left to make their own choices. Which begged the question...what happened? When the light struck him his mind went blank…and strange words echoed through him. When he called back to the voice it remained silent. Glancing down to his hip he confirmed his suspicions. The Kikuichimonji was changed. Snatching his hollow eyes back to Elyk, he watched him force the rest to surrender. If only they had been that smart when they realized they were dealing with the Omnislayer. Kaneda lifted his right hand through his chopped hair. In his earlier attack he’d managed to cut his elongated hair into ribbons, and once again bore the wild-choppiness of his younger days. He knew something had brought him to this strange world in his resurrection, but he didn’t imagine it’d have anything to do with The Yggdrasil Pirates— the closest thing to a dysfunctional family of friends he had left. Letting out a huge obnoxious yawn Kaneda ambled over to Elyk. “I haven’t eaten in two days, otherwise they’d have called me uncle first…” Kaneda jested, nudging the mystical and clearly devoted Elyk. “The ship nearby? I could use a nap. And money...and all the other good stuff that trying to kill Crim gets me.” Uzuki a few feet away knelt next to Liara. Most of her ashes were scattered across the desert when Massacre attempt to take over afterward, but what little remained was enough for the close acquaintance to get her rocks off. Then she made an unusual statement, and Kaneda’s reaction was nonchalant. Winking back to her his fangs bore themselves, looking more like a psychopath than than a sane person. “I don’t suggest trying to kill me next time...Elyk might not make it to save you.” His eyes locked with hers and didn’t break away for a moment, even as he called back out to Elyk. “I hope you guys didn’t mess my room up…” Then finally he snapped to, and looked into the sky. ”You’re making a mistake and you know it,” a voice spoke from within his arm. He remained silent, staring into the sky with a hint of excitement in his eyes. [/div]
