Idiosyncrasies include folding her bed and keeping everything tidy to an extent where it is borderline OCD.
Often times, Lorelai has her arms folded at her chest. She also likes to spread her legs apart, with her hands on her hips, usually when explaining something, reviewing a maneuver, or instructing.
When she goes to sleep, she wears an overly sized shirt, a pair of socks if it is really cold, and puts her hair up into a bun.
Due to her fair skin, she has a hard time hiding her blush if she does.
She also has a nervous habit of cracking her knuckles, it is appalling to some, namely me, her narrator.
Her yawns are adorable upon waking up in the morning.
Appearance:
Taller than the average woman for her age and race, she is slender and agile. Her silver locks and turquoise eyes garner the attention of passersby, and her voice is gentle, but confident. A diligent health conscious individual, she is also an adept provisionist. Her fair skin and silver hair fits her given name well, and her pointed elven ears bring an exotic look to her.
Lorelai is not an avid fan of gaudy or exorbitantly priced possessions, however she does spend an appropriate amount on the style of clothes appropriate for a working class citizen. Lorelai typically has only two wardrobes when she is working or traveling.

Distinguishing Features:
Turquoise Eyes, rarely seen in Nyxians
Elven Bracers: Crafted from the legendary elven metal, mythril, these bracers are typically worn during battle and boast an incredible amount of durability. Their lustrous surface always appear smooth and polished, and are said to repel most metals and energy beams and shots.
Arcane Pendant: A gold orichalcum pendant necklace used for travel and magic. It’s mysterious features have allowed for Lorelai to follow energy signatures to time/space sensitive locations where the fabric of space can be opened to travel between dimensions. The pendant is currently acting as a compass, however, a deeper purpose has yet to be revealed.
Special Features: There appears to be a mystical magic and knowledge sealed within the pendant. It has not yet been discovered or understood how this pendant is to be properly used yet.
Personality
You wouldn’t know it by looking at her, but Lorelai is quite laid back, “chill”, and reserved. She enjoys intellectual conversation, she is an avid historian, and she has an appetite to learn new and interesting technology. She suffers from a need to want to bring humor in tense situations, enjoys humor in most cases, and also loves to tease her friends. Lorelai holds a strong resolve to her innermost goals, and is a fierce friend. She does not open herself up emotionally or romantically to anybody, and that might be because she is usually busy with work or is inexperienced to understand how deeper relationships like that work.

Acquaintances
Ishtar - a celestial being who made contact with Lorelai when she was nine years old. She made a pact with the young girl and offered to save her life in exchange for becoming the Goddess’ avatar or vessel.
Aether Eiron - the ruler of Regna, he was kind enough to offer Lorelai a job, stability, and transportation in exchange for owing him a favor in the future.
Anji Itsuki - a renowned historian, and previously a member of the United Sol Frontier, a unit of warriors assembled to combat and extinguish the Traitor’s forces.
Friends
Count Feris - a helpful and learned teacher. While a bit slow on figuring out that Lorelai had easily surpassed his level of magical skill, he nonetheless helped her by opening doors and introducing her to the world of civil servitude and loyalty to her kingdom.
Artemis the Cat! - a catlike familiar summoned by Lorelai when she was ten years old. After having learned about her newfound powers granted by Ishtar, Lorelai desired to summon a familiar for the first time. Artemis was an alternate dimension cat with a white five pointed star on his forehead that heeded her call. Artemis is a black cat who can float/fly and typically likes to rest on Lorelai’s shoulder wherever she goes. For some unknown reason, nor does Lorelai care to find out, the familiar can remain in her reality for an unlimited length of time, and can freely choose when to appear and disappear. Artemis is her furry and cute best friend!

Lorelai is an avid follower of her own self worth. She did not consider herself a faith follower in her world, until she came into contact with the goddess Ishtar, a celestial of ancient times predating the current calendar and civilization in the Sol System.
While her beliefs are self possessed, she acknowledges the existence and guidance of a pantheon of higher beings with limitless power. Given that she is now a vessel for the goddess Ishtar, she holds strong to her defining characteristics of being mostly pragmatic and undeniably cynical. Her thirst for knowledge knows no bounds, and she doesn’t feel the need to enact on evil doing or partake in dangerous or borderline psychotic tendencies or actions. She sees herself as taking a moral high ground, being honest to herself and her friends, but also knows when to look at a situation objectively rather than emotionally.

TwinHeart: a pair of twin estocs made from orichalcum. They have a smooth surface and boast durability with little to no wear or diminished sharpness, and are sheathed behind Lorelai’s lower back. They fall within a 7.3 on the Mohs scale. Their impact strength allows for the weapons to absorb an immense amount of strain without give for shattering or bending their form. They are seen a gold piercing weapons.
Weapon Attributes: Aside from their gleaming polish, the golden swords do not have any special attributes to contribute.
Special Features: The twins are ideal for conducting and redirecting lightning to or away from the holder. They are also strong conductors for holding and reserving magic and energy from the holder in order to tap into like storage when needed. These reserves have a shelf life of half a day, and will deplete gradually with time.

Shadow Walk: Using the attributes of dimension door, the caster will blink from existence and into the ethereal plane. This travel is typically instantaneous within one hundred feet, where the caster will reappear and launch a weapon strike against their foe. The level of concentration and weapon skill are required in order for the blade art to be successful in making contact. For usage past one hundred feet, the ability will be delayed and allow for the opposing force the opportunity to make a reaction, parry, evasion, or counter. It can also be nicknamed Blink Strike.
Fleetfoot: Using the power of the wind elemental, the caster can increase their dexterity and agility. By harnessing the enhancement, the caster can become a flash or blur of colors to ordinary passersby. For higher level foes or beings, the caster will now be able to track faster than average movement, reaction time, and gain an edge in fighting on par.
Side note: This spell could essentially be nicknamed Haste if desired.
Magic
In the world of Nyx, magic is a common hereditary ability found in half of the population of its inhabitants. Magic is the manipulation of the world essence, nature, and spiritual factors. The power is produced in several methods such as invoking (vocal), gesturing (somatic), or materials like artifact usage (material). Magic is based on skill, study, expertise, and sound body condition. Higher level skills take a toll on the caster’s constitution and can have varying adverse effects such as exhaustion, fatigue, and if improperly utilized - death. Magic requires equal parts knowledge and skill; summoning magic that a caster does not understand the concepts or intensity of the power being summoned can lead to death if it requires a significant amount of power the caster may not have. Utilizing their surroundings, objects, music, and artifacts can also boost potency or success of a magical skill conjuration.
Several studies were conducted into the origins and whether certain criteria needed to be met in order to gain the skill to become a magical user. No legitimate or sound research has provided adequate explanation or theory to this phenomenon in magic users. In the latter part of Nyx’s history, when the visitors came, it was explained that the strangers from their world called this phenomena ‘Anima’ in their world. In the exchange of information and history, there was minimal inconsistencies with the nature in which Nyx’s magical properties varied from the visitor’s ‘Anima’. Thus, the Nyxian’s resolved that while similar to Anima, their magic was unique to their world, but could be interchangeably used in outside worlds in the Sol System.
Alteration
A useful common level magic that allows for the caster to manipulate their clothing, appearance, and voice. The magic skill requires minimal concentration, however they will not be entirely deceiving to skilled beings that have a stronger level of perception. The options for this skill also include the ability to become airborne or waterborne with the capabilities/ligaments/talent needed to exist in those environments.
Animal Sense
A common level magic or gift that allows the caster to sense the presence and communicate telepathically with a creature. This magic skill would not work on spirits, undead, or otherworldly beings that would not fall within the confines of ‘creature’.
Bonus: As a bonus to this magical skill, the caster can request assistance from the creature in several methods from temporary recruitment for battle, or for passive means such as communicating with nature, other animals, reconnaissance, etc..
Aura
A mid level magic skill used to heal the injured caster. It provides a cone shaped area of effect healing nearby allies with this golden healing light. To an onlooker, the magic will resemble sun light dapples across the being’s body and a radiance highlighting their bodies for a few brief seconds. The magic skill effect is not instant, and can be characterized as a timed regenerative property. Typically this ability can last several turns, or can end instantaneously based on the experience of the caster, their level of concentration for potency, and the severity of the wound/s.
Blink
A high level magic skill allowing the caster to step into the ethereal realm. While in the ethereal realm, they can traverse or explore this realm and associate with others. This skill will allow the caster to travel toward a location, object, or being in a separate realm of time returning to the living material realm as it time had barely or nearly never having elapsed.
Charm
A low level magic skill. This skill’s effectiveness relies in a content of intellect between the caster and the creature or living material targeted. If the spell succeeds, the target will become more compliant and willing to assist the caster with their requests, orders, or commands. While the target is charmed, they are fully aware subconsciously that they are being forced against their will to provide assistance if they were previously unwilling.
Dimension Door
A high level magic skill allowing the caster to traverse from their location into a new plane of existence. The skill will last for ten minutes, at which time it will not become available until a full day has passed, and the cast has taken adequate rest. To traverse within different dimensions/realms/worlds, the caster must be experienced enough to withstand the forces governing the new world. A dimension door will not open to a world where the same or equivalent level of magic is not available. The toll for using this skill typically exhausts and weakens the caster due to the immense level of concentration and endurance required for the travel. Higher level casters and seasoned travelers, will experience decreased punishment to their constitution.

Earth manipulation can vary on usage and typically requires a fair bit of competency and sometimes requires special poses and stances to allow for the proper amount of concentration and potency to invoke the assistance of the element. Energy Blast
A multilevel magic based of the castor’s discretion. A crackling beam of energy generated at the palm of their hand is fired with incredible velocity. The radius is narrow and typically is directed toward one target. The energy is non-elemental and does not penetrate ALL surface. The potency of this skill varies on skill level and desired effect of the caster. At higher levels, the beam radius is larger, the beam ray grows in width, and has a chance to envelope, destroy, disintegrate, melt, or damage physical or magical or otherwise shields or protection on its trajectory to the target. The beam is connected to the castor’s palm and does not separate or trail off until the caster determines the end of the magic. The duration of the blast is determined by the caster’s endurance, concentration, and stamina.
Fire
A mid level magic which encompasses tiers of mastery over the element of fire. Fire manipulation can vary on usage and typically requires a fair bit of competency and sometimes requires special poses and stances to allow for the proper amount of concentration and potency to invoke the assistance of the element. The length of time the skill is used or remains active is determined by the caster’s air elemental mastery and concentration.

Radiant Light
A high level magic bestowed upon a magician who has gained the boons of a celestial being, demigod, or primal being with light attributes. Incredible mastery of wisdom, perseverance, and artistry are required to utilize and wield a mystical power of the pantheon. This attribute allows the caster to summon phenomenal powers such as the ability to heal, cast light in dark locations, inflict light damage directly, and imbue light attributes to weapons to temporarily upgrade them Holy.
Summon Familiar
A mid level magic allowing the caster to call forth the assistance or guidance of a being or creature or animal from the living realm or of otherworldly origins. The familiar will compete with the castor upon initial summoning to determine if they will cooperate. If the caster succeeds, they will not need to compete with the familiar again and utilize them in battle, as well as for story focused flavor text. On a failed attempt, the summoned familiar will return to their home world or location.
Summon
A high level magic allowing the caster to summon a celestial being or primal being for assistance in battle, guidance, or story plot device. The discovery of communication between a celestial was a monumental push forward for Nyxian’s to develop their magical prowess to make pacts with celestials in exchange for their assistance or to lend the caster a sliver of their omnipotent power. A summoning takes significant time, concentration, and knowledge to invoke the power. Preparation, ritual, and execution are required in order to summon the celestial.

Water
A mid level magic which encompasses tiers of mastery over the element of water. Brief Description / Disclaimer
In the Sol System, planets like Gaea, Terra, Regna, and Nyx are examples of planets that have adopted and presently utilize the Galactic Solice calendar system. The system was enacted and implemented by the approval of the Sol Galactic Alliance.
Timeline

Lorelai is born, her mother dies in childbirth.
GS 9816
Shin, the galactic hero and coincidentally also considered the traitor of the Sol System is defeated. Peace was expected to last, however there must be a balance. The Sol System united as a new coalition of worlds working toward peace, but a greater evil or the darkness in people’s hearts is always present.
The star system took steps to create equity, trust, and bolstered their efforts to begin a new peace keeping force to combat evil. This new organization for securing peace throughout the Sol System is thus named the Watch Tower. The heroes of the Ragnarok battle returned to their daily lives, some becoming influential, while others happened to disappear from the public eye, and some simply were lost or have disappeared. Reconstruction for the system lasts for decades due to the immense widespread collateral damage brought upon by the war effort.

On the eve of Lorelai’s ninth birthday, she meets an entity of a higher dimension. As a little kid, she enlists the help of her other two friends in planning and executing ‘tricks’ within her hometown. Their biggest trick was easy. Sneak into the ruined temple of an ancient civilization within the town limits, and set off fireworks and escape. Lorelai’s birthday always fell on the day of the summer solstice festival in the region. The community would gather harvest and traditional foods to leave out for the ‘Gods’ to bestow their kindness and good fortune to a successful and long harvest season. The festival included a fair, festivities, and fireworks. The trick was to set the fireworks off during the festival, however the plan went awry. In a desperate scramble to make the plan succeed, Lorelai invoked a high level spell for summoning fire. Magic was commonplace in Nyx, however lower class citizens did not learn or develop magic usage until they reached the age of eleven, just before puberty.
Inexperienced, she used the knowledge of what she learned from by watching others and made the attempt. The spell backfired and engulfed the girl in radiant flames. Her friends ran toward the town to seek help, as the child was burned alive. Through the pain of the magic having rebounded on her, she eventually began to feel no pain, and no sense of existence. She felt as if she were out of her body, looking down at it from a third person view. She couldn’t understand what had happened. What went wrong?
The coloration of her surroundings and her burned body began to lose contrast. Everything looked...misty, and whitewashed. She wouldn’t know it at the time, but she had crossed into the ethereal realm. Floating just outside of her body, she barely had the capacity to understand her position. She was dead, physically, but her soul remained attached to her body by the an etheric soul chain. She wandered around her new reality for several moments until she realized that she was being watched. Above her, in the misted sky or beyond, a blinding sphere of light loomed over her, watching her every move. She didn’t know if it was curiosity, or if it was dangerous, but she decided to reach out to it and speak to it. This was her first meeting with what she would come to know as a Divine Celestial, Ishtar. They barely spoke, words weren’t needed. The essence of light could read the child’s thoughts, and communicate telepathically.
As Ishtar observed her, Lorelai could feel familiar sensations such as thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Ishtar chose the child as her vessel explained that one day in the future they would meet again. The meeting was brief and the child soon forgot about the meeting. Her consciousness returned to her corporeal form. The adults of the town rushed to her aide. The child was barely injured, her clothes restored to their original state, and she wore a golden pendant necklace. She was carried back to the town where she was treated, and then grounded by her foster parents - forever. The girl would spend much of her free time obsessing over her necklace, trying to understand how she obtained it or why she wore. To this day, when she thinks back to when she inherited the accessory, her mind begins to fog and she is unable to remember.

At age thirteen, Lorelai is making a name for herself as an apprentice in magic in her hometown. Apprentice to the city’s renowned Count Feris, she begins to learn about the essentials of conjuring magic and learning to control elemental properties. In secret, outside of her duties as a simple mage, the young girl practiced magic in her room, in the study, and in the abandoned observatory in her town. Typically for youths her age, they only knew basic magic and a few sleight of hand magical tricks or supplemental magics. Lorelai, conjured Light magic, and understood more complex variances in potency of verbal and gestured magics including fire and water. Her affinity to quickly learn new magic and elemental magic at her age was typically unheard of. The only rare occasions included prodigies and genius’ that would go on to learn under the Empire or any other surrounding institute that highly sought talented individuals. Lorelai didn’t feel like a genius or prodigy in magic, she was far from it, however she proved herself time and again on menial jobs and quests she would embark on with her master, Count Feris. In most cases, the young mage would quickly conjure magic to help her master unknowingly on their journey to ease their travels or duties.
There was a downside, unfortunately, to her newfound magical prowess: fatigue. Most people in the kingdom that she resided in were generally know for having excellent or a nearly healthy population. Rare cases included sickly or fragile individuals due to lack of nutrition, chronic illnesses, or have autoimmune diseases. For a healthy young girl, she experienced significant fatigue at random and unforeseen times, typically infrequently. Most times she could manage the pain of what felt like her body was being crushed by the weight of a significant force, and other times, she was bedridden for days. Medical analysis came up with a clean bill of health, and medical professionals would recommend that she would need to take it easy. Some theorized it was a matter of stress and that the girl was not being honest with them. This led to several confrontations between adults that began to question if there may have been abuse in her foster family’s household. Nothing ever came of it, and in time, Lorelai learned and adapted to this unknown force within her, by building her stamina and constitution. With age, she learned to manage her new condition, and mitigate the side-effects.

At eighteen, Lorelai is established as a young magical sorceress who is willing to offer her services for payment. After a civil war had left much of the kingdom in need of repair, restructuring, and diplomacy between the people and the ruling family, mercenaries became more common than in the past. Lorelai, was what many called a SpellSword. A combination of Sell Sword and Spell Weaver, these were insults and jeers tossed at people who made their living off of jobs, tasks, duties, and mop up missions including murder and deceit to make a living wage. People often looked down in their region to these types of vagabonds, and Lorelai was no different. A certain level of disrespect and morality was lost on the type of people Lorelai was labeled under; they didn’t fit the cultural norms of their world.
On the day of her eighteenth birthday, Ishtar summoned the young capable woman she had become to the ethereal realm. Ishtar explained that she was a celestial being from an even higher dimension, but was called to the middle dimensions by another force that called to her. Sensing that a soul with the sensitivity to witness the greatness of the celestial being’s presence, she decided to make contact with her and learn about her. Ishtar had her own reasons for delving into the middle dimensions, concepts and reason beyond the realm of understanding on a human scale. Lorelai entertained the conversation and was educated by the celestial that she previously agreed to become a vessel or avatar for the goddess Ishtar. She unknowingly was the eyes, ears, and will of the goddess in the material world. Lorelai did her best to understand the celestial, and agreed that the power bestowed upon her when she was nine was what saved her life. It was a worthy gamble, and one she could not forget or turn down. Ishtar restored her memories of the time when she was nine and ended their conversation. Directionless on what she would be tasked with by the Goddess, she continued on with her life, keeping close that one day she would be called upon to represent the celestial in her world.

Lorelai’s journey continues by leaving her planet Nyx, in an effort to discover and develop her powers to become a master sorceress. The world has changed around her, and so too must she adapt to the ever evolving universe. Learning what she could from her home planet, Lorelai traveled to the world of Gaea. On Gaea, she visited the largest galactic library where she learned much about the history of the universe. He particular interest was in gathering any information about celestial beings or the pantheon her world worshiped. It was undoubtedly, the biggest disappointment when the did not learn much about them except for a mention from a past hero named Solice StarHaven having contacted a celestial in his time. The records of his time were long forgotten and destroyed from a one hundred year war that ravaged the planet of Gaea. A historian by the name of Anji, helped the woman to uncover a trail to the next clue. An adventure had begun! On his insistence, he helped the girl obtain transportation to travel to a planet named Regna. After an arduous struggle to meet with the busy ruler, it took two full days for her to gain an audience with the ruler of the planet, Aether Eiron. They spoke about many things, from history to her tale of seeking answers about her lineage and about the old gods. His astute manner, allowed for easy conversation, which left the woman feeling uneasy. Characteristically, he offered her assistance, in exchange for a favor. She hesitantly agreed, and was given a small transport ship for interstellar travel. With the assistance and the resources provided to her, she would be paid in something the alliance used for currency called credits. Adapting to higher technology was both easy and difficult for her; she preferred the primitive aspects of some aspects of her lifestyle.
Months after being hired by Aether Eiron, Lorelai found herself following the light of the necklace to a barren planet in the outer rim of the Sol System. It was here that she followed the signal to where she could sense a dimensional distortion, a weakness in the foundation of space and time. Ishtar channeled her powers through Lorelai, guiding her to conjure a magic spell she didn’t know she had. She used Dimension Door, and an ethereal image of a tall white oak door appeared. She entered through the opening to find that she had crossed into the ethereal realm. In this dimension, she could barely see what appeared to be white glowing creatures cautiously observing from behind black stones and boulders. The windy and foggy atmosphere created a greater difficulty traversing through. In the broad open space from where she entered, she could see another door in the distance. It was beginning to fade as she approached, and with a helpful nudge from Ishtar, the door opened. As Lorelai crossed the threshold of the dimensions, a stronger essence of energy, similar to Ishtar’s reverberated within her soul and ethereal body. It was for barely a second, but the woman could sense something from the existence. She closed her eyes and stretched out, metaphysically trying to comprehend this feeling of great power. In the next moment, that feeling was gone, and she opened her eye to find herself in another barren wasteland. This world was dying. Did Ishtar lead her astray? Was it because of that strange but powerful existence she sensed before stepping foot into this world? She didn’t have any answers, and more questions began to pile as she observed her surroundings.
“There...in the distance,” she spoke to herself out loud. “I see a small village.”

Idiosyncrasies include folding her bed and keeping everything tidy to an extent where it is borderline OCD.
Often times, Lorelai has her arms folded at her chest. She also likes to spread her legs apart, with her hands on her hips, usually when explaining something, reviewing a maneuver, or instructing.
When she goes to sleep, she wears an overly sized shirt, a pair of socks if it is really cold, and puts her hair up into a bun.
Due to her fair skin, she has a hard time hiding her blush if she does.
She also has a nervous habit of cracking her knuckles, it is appalling to some, namely me, her narrator.
Her yawns are adorable upon waking up in the morning.
Appearance:
Taller than the average woman for her age and race, she is slender and agile. Her silver locks and turquoise eyes garner the attention of passersby, and her voice is gentle, but confident. A diligent health conscious individual, she is also an adept provisionist. Her fair skin and silver hair fits her given name well, and her pointed elven ears bring an exotic look to her.
Lorelai is not an avid fan of gaudy or exorbitantly priced possessions, however she does spend an appropriate amount on the style of clothes appropriate for a working class citizen. Lorelai typically has only two wardrobes when she is working or traveling.

Distinguishing Features:
Turquoise Eyes, rarely seen in Nyxians
Elven Bracers: Crafted from the legendary elven metal, mythril, these bracers are typically worn during battle and boast an incredible amount of durability. Their lustrous surface always appear smooth and polished, and are said to repel most metals and energy beams and shots.
Arcane Pendant: A gold orichalcum pendant necklace used for travel and magic. It’s mysterious features have allowed for Lorelai to follow energy signatures to time/space sensitive locations where the fabric of space can be opened to travel between dimensions. The pendant is currently acting as a compass, however, a deeper purpose has yet to be revealed.
Special Features: There appears to be a mystical magic and knowledge sealed within the pendant. It has not yet been discovered or understood how this pendant is to be properly used yet.
Personality
You wouldn’t know it by looking at her, but Lorelai is quite laid back, “chill”, and reserved. She enjoys intellectual conversation, she is an avid historian, and she has an appetite to learn new and interesting technology. She suffers from a need to want to bring humor in tense situations, enjoys humor in most cases, and also loves to tease her friends. Lorelai holds a strong resolve to her innermost goals, and is a fierce friend. She does not open herself up emotionally or romantically to anybody, and that might be because she is usually busy with work or is inexperienced to understand how deeper relationships like that work.

Acquaintances
Ishtar - a celestial being who made contact with Lorelai when she was nine years old. She made a pact with the young girl and offered to save her life in exchange for becoming the Goddess’ avatar or vessel.
Aether Eiron - the ruler of Regna, he was kind enough to offer Lorelai a job, stability, and transportation in exchange for owing him a favor in the future.
Anji Itsuki - a renowned historian, and previously a member of the United Sol Frontier, a unit of warriors assembled to combat and extinguish the Traitor’s forces.
Friends
Count Feris - a helpful and learned teacher. While a bit slow on figuring out that Lorelai had easily surpassed his level of magical skill, he nonetheless helped her by opening doors and introducing her to the world of civil servitude and loyalty to her kingdom.
Artemis the Cat! - a catlike familiar summoned by Lorelai when she was ten years old. After having learned about her newfound powers granted by Ishtar, Lorelai desired to summon a familiar for the first time. Artemis was an alternate dimension cat with a white five pointed star on his forehead that heeded her call. Artemis is a black cat who can float/fly and typically likes to rest on Lorelai’s shoulder wherever she goes. For some unknown reason, nor does Lorelai care to find out, the familiar can remain in her reality for an unlimited length of time, and can freely choose when to appear and disappear. Artemis is her furry and cute best friend!

Lorelai is an avid follower of her own self worth. She did not consider herself a faith follower in her world, until she came into contact with the goddess Ishtar, a celestial of ancient times predating the current calendar and civilization in the Sol System.
While her beliefs are self possessed, she acknowledges the existence and guidance of a pantheon of higher beings with limitless power. Given that she is now a vessel for the goddess Ishtar, she holds strong to her defining characteristics of being mostly pragmatic and undeniably cynical. Her thirst for knowledge knows no bounds, and she doesn’t feel the need to enact on evil doing or partake in dangerous or borderline psychotic tendencies or actions. She sees herself as taking a moral high ground, being honest to herself and her friends, but also knows when to look at a situation objectively rather than emotionally.

TwinHeart: a pair of twin estocs made from orichalcum. They have a smooth surface and boast durability with little to no wear or diminished sharpness, and are sheathed behind Lorelai’s lower back. They fall within a 7.3 on the Mohs scale. Their impact strength allows for the weapons to absorb an immense amount of strain without give for shattering or bending their form. They are seen a gold piercing weapons.
Weapon Attributes: Aside from their gleaming polish, the golden swords do not have any special attributes to contribute.
Special Features: The twins are ideal for conducting and redirecting lightning to or away from the holder. They are also strong conductors for holding and reserving magic and energy from the holder in order to tap into like storage when needed. These reserves have a shelf life of half a day, and will deplete gradually with time.

Arts
Shadow Walk: Using the attributes of dimension door, the caster will blink from existence and into the ethereal plane. This travel is typically instantaneous within one hundred feet, where the caster will reappear and launch a weapon strike against their foe. The level of concentration and weapon skill are required in order for the blade art to be successful in making contact. For usage past one hundred feet, the ability will be delayed and allow for the opposing force the opportunity to make a reaction, parry, evasion, or counter. It can also be nicknamed Blink Strike.
Fleetfoot: Using the power of the wind elemental, the caster can increase their dexterity and agility. By harnessing the enhancement, the caster can become a flash or blur of colors to ordinary passersby. For higher level foes or beings, the caster will now be able to track faster than average movement, reaction time, and gain an edge in fighting on par.
Side note: This spell could essentially be nicknamed Haste if desired.
Magic
In the world of Nyx, magic is a common hereditary ability found in half of the population of its inhabitants. Magic is the manipulation of the world essence, nature, and spiritual factors. The power is produced in several methods such as invoking (vocal), gesturing (somatic), or materials like artifact usage (material). Magic is based on skill, study, expertise, and sound body condition. Higher level skills take a toll on the caster’s constitution and can have varying adverse effects such as exhaustion, fatigue, and if improperly utilized - death. Magic requires equal parts knowledge and skill; summoning magic that a caster does not understand the concepts or intensity of the power being summoned can lead to death if it requires a significant amount of power the caster may not have. Utilizing their surroundings, objects, music, and artifacts can also boost potency or success of a magical skill conjuration.
Several studies were conducted into the origins and whether certain criteria needed to be met in order to gain the skill to become a magical user. No legitimate or sound research has provided adequate explanation or theory to this phenomenon in magic users. In the latter part of Nyx’s history, when the visitors came, it was explained that the strangers from their world called this phenomena ‘Anima’ in their world. In the exchange of information and history, there was minimal inconsistencies with the nature in which Nyx’s magical properties varied from the visitor’s ‘Anima’. Thus, the Nyxian’s resolved that while similar to Anima, their magic was unique to their world, but could be interchangeably used in outside worlds in the Sol System.
Alteration
A useful common level magic that allows for the caster to manipulate their clothing, appearance, and voice. The magic skill requires minimal concentration, however they will not be entirely deceiving to skilled beings that have a stronger level of perception. The options for this skill also include the ability to become airborne or waterborne with the capabilities/ligaments/talent needed to exist in those environments.
Animal Sense
A common level magic or gift that allows the caster to sense the presence and communicate telepathically with a creature. This magic skill would not work on spirits, undead, or otherworldly beings that would not fall within the confines of ‘creature’.
Bonus: As a bonus to this magical skill, the caster can request assistance from the creature in several methods from temporary recruitment for battle, or for passive means such as communicating with nature, other animals, reconnaissance, etc..
Aura
A mid level magic skill used to heal the injured caster. It provides a cone shaped area of effect healing nearby allies with this golden healing light. To an onlooker, the magic will resemble sun light dapples across the being’s body and a radiance highlighting their bodies for a few brief seconds. The magic skill effect is not instant, and can be characterized as a timed regenerative property. Typically this ability can last several turns, or can end instantaneously based on the experience of the caster, their level of concentration for potency, and the severity of the wound/s.
Blink
A high level magic skill allowing the caster to step into the ethereal realm. While in the ethereal realm, they can traverse or explore this realm and associate with others. This skill will allow the caster to travel toward a location, object, or being in a separate realm of time returning to the living material realm as it time had barely or nearly never having elapsed.
Charm
A low level magic skill. This skill’s effectiveness relies in a content of intellect between the caster and the creature or living material targeted. If the spell succeeds, the target will become more compliant and willing to assist the caster with their requests, orders, or commands. While the target is charmed, they are fully aware subconsciously that they are being forced against their will to provide assistance if they were previously unwilling.
Dimension Door
A high level magic skill allowing the caster to traverse from their location into a new plane of existence. The skill will last for ten minutes, at which time it will not become available until a full day has passed, and the cast has taken adequate rest. To traverse within different dimensions/realms/worlds, the caster must be experienced enough to withstand the forces governing the new world. A dimension door will not open to a world where the same or equivalent level of magic is not available. The toll for using this skill typically exhausts and weakens the caster due to the immense level of concentration and endurance required for the travel. Higher level casters and seasoned travelers, will experience decreased punishment to their constitution.

Energy Blast
A multilevel magic based of the castor’s discretion. A crackling beam of energy generated at the palm of their hand is fired with incredible velocity. The radius is narrow and typically is directed toward one target. The energy is non-elemental and does not penetrate ALL surface. The potency of this skill varies on skill level and desired effect of the caster. At higher levels, the beam radius is larger, the beam ray grows in width, and has a chance to envelope, destroy, disintegrate, melt, or damage physical or magical or otherwise shields or protection on its trajectory to the target. The beam is connected to the castor’s palm and does not separate or trail off until the caster determines the end of the magic. The duration of the blast is determined by the caster’s endurance, concentration, and stamina.
Fire
A mid level magic which encompasses tiers of mastery over the element of fire. Fire manipulation can vary on usage and typically requires a fair bit of competency and sometimes requires special poses and stances to allow for the proper amount of concentration and potency to invoke the assistance of the element. The length of time the skill is used or remains active is determined by the caster’s air elemental mastery and concentration.

Radiant Light
A high level magic bestowed upon a magician who has gained the boons of a celestial being, demigod, or primal being with light attributes. Incredible mastery of wisdom, perseverance, and artistry are required to utilize and wield a mystical power of the pantheon. This attribute allows the caster to summon phenomenal powers such as the ability to heal, cast light in dark locations, inflict light damage directly, and imbue light attributes to weapons to temporarily upgrade them Holy.
Summon Familiar
A mid level magic allowing the caster to call forth the assistance or guidance of a being or creature or animal from the living realm or of otherworldly origins. The familiar will compete with the castor upon initial summoning to determine if they will cooperate. If the caster succeeds, they will not need to compete with the familiar again and utilize them in battle, as well as for story focused flavor text. On a failed attempt, the summoned familiar will return to their home world or location.
Summon
A high level magic allowing the caster to summon a celestial being or primal being for assistance in battle, guidance, or story plot device. The discovery of communication between a celestial was a monumental push forward for Nyxian’s to develop their magical prowess to make pacts with celestials in exchange for their assistance or to lend the caster a sliver of their omnipotent power. A summoning takes significant time, concentration, and knowledge to invoke the power. Preparation, ritual, and execution are required in order to summon the celestial.

Water

Brief Description / Disclaimer
In the Sol System, planets like Gaea, Terra, Regna, and Nyx are examples of planets that have adopted and presently utilize the Galactic Solice calendar system. The system was enacted and implemented by the approval of the Sol Galactic Alliance.
Timeline

Lorelai is born, her mother dies in childbirth.
GS 9816
Shin, the galactic hero and coincidentally also considered the traitor of the Sol System is defeated. Peace was expected to last, however there must be a balance. The Sol System united as a new coalition of worlds working toward peace, but a greater evil or the darkness in people’s hearts is always present.
The star system took steps to create equity, trust, and bolstered their efforts to begin a new peace keeping force to combat evil. This new organization for securing peace throughout the Sol System is thus named the Watch Tower. The heroes of the Ragnarok battle returned to their daily lives, some becoming influential, while others happened to disappear from the public eye, and some simply were lost or have disappeared. Reconstruction for the system lasts for decades due to the immense widespread collateral damage brought upon by the war effort.

On the eve of Lorelai’s ninth birthday, she meets an entity of a higher dimension. As a little kid, she enlists the help of her other two friends in planning and executing ‘tricks’ within her hometown. Their biggest trick was easy. Sneak into the ruined temple of an ancient civilization within the town limits, and set off fireworks and escape. Lorelai’s birthday always fell on the day of the summer solstice festival in the region. The community would gather harvest and traditional foods to leave out for the ‘Gods’ to bestow their kindness and good fortune to a successful and long harvest season. The festival included a fair, festivities, and fireworks. The trick was to set the fireworks off during the festival, however the plan went awry. In a desperate scramble to make the plan succeed, Lorelai invoked a high level spell for summoning fire. Magic was commonplace in Nyx, however lower class citizens did not learn or develop magic usage until they reached the age of eleven, just before puberty.
Inexperienced, she used the knowledge of what she learned from by watching others and made the attempt. The spell backfired and engulfed the girl in radiant flames. Her friends ran toward the town to seek help, as the child was burned alive. Through the pain of the magic having rebounded on her, she eventually began to feel no pain, and no sense of existence. She felt as if she were out of her body, looking down at it from a third person view. She couldn’t understand what had happened. What went wrong?
The coloration of her surroundings and her burned body began to lose contrast. Everything looked...misty, and whitewashed. She wouldn’t know it at the time, but she had crossed into the ethereal realm. Floating just outside of her body, she barely had the capacity to understand her position. She was dead, physically, but her soul remained attached to her body by the an etheric soul chain. She wandered around her new reality for several moments until she realized that she was being watched. Above her, in the misted sky or beyond, a blinding sphere of light loomed over her, watching her every move. She didn’t know if it was curiosity, or if it was dangerous, but she decided to reach out to it and speak to it. This was her first meeting with what she would come to know as a Divine Celestial, Ishtar. They barely spoke, words weren’t needed. The essence of light could read the child’s thoughts, and communicate telepathically.
As Ishtar observed her, Lorelai could feel familiar sensations such as thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Ishtar chose the child as her vessel explained that one day in the future they would meet again. The meeting was brief and the child soon forgot about the meeting. Her consciousness returned to her corporeal form. The adults of the town rushed to her aide. The child was barely injured, her clothes restored to their original state, and she wore a golden pendant necklace. She was carried back to the town where she was treated, and then grounded by her foster parents - forever. The girl would spend much of her free time obsessing over her necklace, trying to understand how she obtained it or why she wore. To this day, when she thinks back to when she inherited the accessory, her mind begins to fog and she is unable to remember.

At age thirteen, Lorelai is making a name for herself as an apprentice in magic in her hometown. Apprentice to the city’s renowned Count Feris, she begins to learn about the essentials of conjuring magic and learning to control elemental properties. In secret, outside of her duties as a simple mage, the young girl practiced magic in her room, in the study, and in the abandoned observatory in her town. Typically for youths her age, they only knew basic magic and a few sleight of hand magical tricks or supplemental magics. Lorelai, conjured Light magic, and understood more complex variances in potency of verbal and gestured magics including fire and water. Her affinity to quickly learn new magic and elemental magic at her age was typically unheard of. The only rare occasions included prodigies and genius’ that would go on to learn under the Empire or any other surrounding institute that highly sought talented individuals. Lorelai didn’t feel like a genius or prodigy in magic, she was far from it, however she proved herself time and again on menial jobs and quests she would embark on with her master, Count Feris. In most cases, the young mage would quickly conjure magic to help her master unknowingly on their journey to ease their travels or duties.
There was a downside, unfortunately, to her newfound magical prowess: fatigue. Most people in the kingdom that she resided in were generally know for having excellent or a nearly healthy population. Rare cases included sickly or fragile individuals due to lack of nutrition, chronic illnesses, or have autoimmune diseases. For a healthy young girl, she experienced significant fatigue at random and unforeseen times, typically infrequently. Most times she could manage the pain of what felt like her body was being crushed by the weight of a significant force, and other times, she was bedridden for days. Medical analysis came up with a clean bill of health, and medical professionals would recommend that she would need to take it easy. Some theorized it was a matter of stress and that the girl was not being honest with them. This led to several confrontations between adults that began to question if there may have been abuse in her foster family’s household. Nothing ever came of it, and in time, Lorelai learned and adapted to this unknown force within her, by building her stamina and constitution. With age, she learned to manage her new condition, and mitigate the side-effects.

At eighteen, Lorelai is established as a young magical sorceress who is willing to offer her services for payment. After a civil war had left much of the kingdom in need of repair, restructuring, and diplomacy between the people and the ruling family, mercenaries became more common than in the past. Lorelai, was what many called a SpellSword. A combination of Sell Sword and Spell Weaver, these were insults and jeers tossed at people who made their living off of jobs, tasks, duties, and mop up missions including murder and deceit to make a living wage. People often looked down in their region to these types of vagabonds, and Lorelai was no different. A certain level of disrespect and morality was lost on the type of people Lorelai was labeled under; they didn’t fit the cultural norms of their world.
On the day of her eighteenth birthday, Ishtar summoned the young capable woman she had become to the ethereal realm. Ishtar explained that she was a celestial being from an even higher dimension, but was called to the middle dimensions by another force that called to her. Sensing that a soul with the sensitivity to witness the greatness of the celestial being’s presence, she decided to make contact with her and learn about her. Ishtar had her own reasons for delving into the middle dimensions, concepts and reason beyond the realm of understanding on a human scale. Lorelai entertained the conversation and was educated by the celestial that she previously agreed to become a vessel or avatar for the goddess Ishtar. She unknowingly was the eyes, ears, and will of the goddess in the material world. Lorelai did her best to understand the celestial, and agreed that the power bestowed upon her when she was nine was what saved her life. It was a worthy gamble, and one she could not forget or turn down. Ishtar restored her memories of the time when she was nine and ended their conversation. Directionless on what she would be tasked with by the Goddess, she continued on with her life, keeping close that one day she would be called upon to represent the celestial in her world.

Lorelai’s journey continues by leaving her planet Nyx, in an effort to discover and develop her powers to become a master sorceress. The world has changed around her, and so too must she adapt to the ever evolving universe. Learning what she could from her home planet, Lorelai traveled to the world of Gaea. On Gaea, she visited the largest galactic library where she learned much about the history of the universe. He particular interest was in gathering any information about celestial beings or the pantheon her world worshiped. It was undoubtedly, the biggest disappointment when the did not learn much about them except for a mention from a past hero named Solice StarHaven having contacted a celestial in his time. The records of his time were long forgotten and destroyed from a one hundred year war that ravaged the planet of Gaea. A historian by the name of Anji, helped the woman to uncover a trail to the next clue. An adventure had begun! On his insistence, he helped the girl obtain transportation to travel to a planet named Regna. After an arduous struggle to meet with the busy ruler, it took two full days for her to gain an audience with the ruler of the planet, Aether Eiron. They spoke about many things, from history to her tale of seeking answers about her lineage and about the old gods. His astute manner, allowed for easy conversation, which left the woman feeling uneasy. Characteristically, he offered her assistance, in exchange for a favor. She hesitantly agreed, and was given a small transport ship for interstellar travel. With the assistance and the resources provided to her, she would be paid in something the alliance used for currency called credits. Adapting to higher technology was both easy and difficult for her; she preferred the primitive aspects of some aspects of her lifestyle.
Months after being hired by Aether Eiron, Lorelai found herself following the light of the necklace to a barren planet in the outer rim of the Sol System. It was here that she followed the signal to where she could sense a dimensional distortion, a weakness in the foundation of space and time. Ishtar channeled her powers through Lorelai, guiding her to conjure a magic spell she didn’t know she had. She used Dimension Door, and an ethereal image of a tall white oak door appeared. She entered through the opening to find that she had crossed into the ethereal realm. In this dimension, she could barely see what appeared to be white glowing creatures cautiously observing from behind black stones and boulders. The windy and foggy atmosphere created a greater difficulty traversing through. In the broad open space from where she entered, she could see another door in the distance. It was beginning to fade as she approached, and with a helpful nudge from Ishtar, the door opened. As Lorelai crossed the threshold of the dimensions, a stronger essence of energy, similar to Ishtar’s reverberated within her soul and ethereal body. It was for barely a second, but the woman could sense something from the existence. She closed her eyes and stretched out, metaphysically trying to comprehend this feeling of great power. In the next moment, that feeling was gone, and she opened her eye to find herself in another barren wasteland. This world was dying. Did Ishtar lead her astray? Was it because of that strange but powerful existence she sensed before stepping foot into this world? She didn’t have any answers, and more questions began to pile as she observed her surroundings.
“There...in the distance,” she spoke to herself out loud. “I see a small village.”
